Colorado Sky

I have a lot on my mind today, so this will be a “quiet” blog post. This post is devoted entirely to the sky above Parachute, Colorado. I had forgotten how stunning the Colorado sky can be, especially on fall mornings. Most days, we have clear blue skies here, but we get about one day per week with a little rain. I’ve taken hundreds of sky pictures in the past month, but these are my favorites:

  1. INTENSE!

This is how the sky is in Michigan too, especially with the change of seasons. I really miss skies like this, and the extreme weather that goes along with them. San Francisco is pretty much always in the same mild zone, temperatures between 55 and 65 degrees, fog and sun. No thunder, no lightning, no craziness.

Sometimes crazy is good. These pics make me miss crazy.

  2. They're all so beautiful, and so different. Some hopeful, some glorious, some languishing... I tried to pick a favorite, and the ones I liked best all have the same quality that had nothing to do with the sky. I liked the ones that have roads too.
